The Annual Program Report (Spring 2009) is coming soon. This year's survey will be a joint effort with the AMA, ASCP-BOR, NAACLS and the NCA. Please click on the link above for a text version of the survey to prepare your answers ahead of time. The email will come from ASCP but will have the names of all involved organizations.
At its April 2009 Board of Directors meeting, NAACLS made new changes to its consortia policy, effective immediately. Click on the above link for more information.
The NAACLS office has moved to 5600 N. River Road, Suite 720, Rosemont IL 60018. Please update your records. Our phone number will remain the same.
The new Guide to Accreditation has been updated to contain the NAACLS Standards and the details of the Programmatic Accreditation Process for all but Doctoral level NAACLS Accredited Programs.
All programs that have a Self-Study due date after September 1, 2009 are required to follow the guidelines and Standards within the new Guide to Accreditation when assembling the Self-Study and preparing for the Spring 2010 site visit.
A task force chaired by Donna Spannaus-Martin has been charged to review and update the NAACLS Program Revitalization: Strategies for Survival document. Other task force members include Linda Ross, Debbie Wisenor, Randy Vandervander, Fred Rodriguez (board liaison), and Gwen James-Oriaikhi (staff liaison).
The Program Revitalization Task force would appreciate any ideas/strategies that you might have to include in the updated document. These can be sent directly to Donna Spannaus-Martin. NAACLS would like to have the Task Force report by the end of March to present to the Board of Directors at its April 2-3, 2009 meeting.
The NAACLS Business Office will now accept credit card payments.
The Draft Guide to Accreditation for Doctoral Clinical Laboratory Science programs is on the web. If you have questions or comments, please send them here.
