Volume 63 - Spring 1996

Bits 'n' pieces

Become involved with NAACLS!!

NAACLS offers many opportunities for clinical laboratory science educators and practitioners to become involved in its accreditation or approval processes. Would you like to volunteer? NAACLS is seeking nominations for open positions on the Programs Approval Review Committee (PARC) and Affiliated Professions Review Committee (APRC). Interested persons should send a cover letter identifying the position sought and a curriculum vitae to Dr. Olive Kimball, Executive Director by June 10, 1996. We understand this deadline is fast approaching and hope you will contact us should you need an additional few days to submit your information.

Wanted: Photos

NAACLS welcomes photographs from its accredited and approved programs to accompany NAACLS News articles. Being located in Chicago, NAACLS staff is unable to take photos of programs across the country to publish in its newsletter unless our readers are kind enough to submit them to us.

Submitting a photo of your program would give your program greater visibility and allow other programs the opportunity to see programs similar to theirs. You could submit a photo of your program undergoing a site visit or a photo of a class in session. Any aspect of your program as it relates to the accreditation or the approval process could be published.

Photos should be black and white and include the institution's name and program level on the back of the photo. Please include on a separate sheet of paper a brief description of the photo and identify all persons in it. Submit photos to Megan Hennessy Eggert in the NAACLS office. All photos will be returned.
