NAACLS website update by Daniel Angelucci Administrative Liason

There have been a few exciting changes at the NAACLS website, and a few more are planned for the near future.

To ease transfer, we have converted many of our documents to Adobe Acrobat format. This format is used by the Federal government to distribute documents. The Acrobat format allows documents to be downloaded with their original formatting intact. The documents that are currently available in Adobe Acrobat format are the following:

• Guide to Accreditation (CLS/MT, CLT/MLT, HTL and HT)
  
• Clinical Assistant Program Approval Guide
  
• Paper Review form (CLS/MT, CLT/MLT, HTL and HT)
  
• Site Visit Report form (CLS/MT, CLT/MLT, HTL and HT)
  

In order to view these documents, you must first download and install the Acrobat Reader from the Adobe website.

In the near future, NAACLS will provide all our documents in Acrobat format. In addition, a hypertext version of the revised Guide to Accreditation for each level should be available soon. This version of the Guide will have links to the appropriate Essential, allowing you to navigate between the two documents easily.

Our website also has a growing number of clinical laboratory science related links as well as each issue of the NAACLS News since Winter 1996. If you have any suggestions for additions to our website, please contact us.

Mr. Angelucci is the Administrative Liaison for NAACLS.
