NAACLS welcomes two new BOD members

Two new representatives of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists have joined the NAACLS Board of Directors this fall. Robin A. Helmuth, MD, has replaced Edwin B. Herring, MD, who served on the Board of Directors for eight years in addition to a term of service on the Histotechnology Programs Review Committee. Larry H. Bernstein, MD, replaced Michael Laposata, MD, who served for five years on the Board of Directors.

Robin A. Helmuth, MD, is the Medical Director of the School of Medical Technology as well as Medical Director of the Chemistry Section of the Clinical Laboratory at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also Medical Director of the Clinical Laboratory at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana.

Larry H. Bernstein, MD, is the Medical Director of the Medical Technology Program at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is also the Director, Transfusion Service and Chief of the Chemistry Section at Bridgeport Hospital.
