NAACLS to Conduct Workshops at ASCLS Annual Meeting by Megan Hennessy Eggert Meetings and Publicity Coordinator

NAACLS will conduct the following two workshops in New Orleans on Monday, July 26, 1999 in concurrence with the ASCLS Annual Meeting:

Educational Methodologies

8:00am - 5:00pm
Fee: $125

Preparing for a Site Visit

8:00am - 5:00pm
Fee: $125

Upon completion of the Educational Methodologies Workshop, the participant should be able to:

1. Write correctly a variety of behavioral objectives in all three educational domains.
   
2. Rank objectives according to taxonomic level.
   
3. Evaluate objectives as to their appropriateness and clarity.
   
4. Identify and describe key components in an instructional unit.
   
5. Correlate objectives with evaluation methods/items.

Upon completion of the Preparing for a Site Visit Workshop, the participant should be able to:

1. Describe the significance and purposes of the self-study process.
   
2. Discuss each Essential and use the Guide to Accreditation.
   
3. Determine what information should be contained in the Self-Study Report and what should be available for the site visit.
4. Evaluate a Self-Study Report and identify areas that need to be assessed during the site visit.

Both workshops include a morning and afternoon beverage break, aswell as lunch. If you are interested in attending a workshop, please contact the NAACLS office for more information.
