NAACLS Staff Update

NAACLS staff members are busy, both professionally and personally. Staff have experienced many changes over the past year, and following is an update on who's who, who's where, and who's doing what..
Olive M. Kimball
Executive Director
Olive just completed her sixth year as NAACLS Executive Director. She notes that the changes in NAACLS during that time have been both extensive and exciting and predicts many more to come.
Gwen James Oriaikhi
Senior Program Coordinator, CLS/MT Programs
Gwen has been a NAACLS staff member since 1995 and began working at NAACLS as a Program Services Assistant. Today, she is Senior Program Coordinator in addition to being responsible for all clinical laboratory science/medical technology programs.
Daniel Tice
Administrative Liaison and Program Coordinator, Path Asst.
Dan began working at NAACLS in February 1999, replacing Monica Mitchell who moved to North Carolina and married Dan Angelucci, a previous staff member. Dan performs a variety of services for NAACLS, including assisting with preparations for Board meetings, conducting surveys, and assisting with special projects such as the Site Visitor Orientation Teleconferences. Dan is also the Program Coordinator for pathologists' assistant. He has been filling in for phlebotomy, cytogenetic technology, and clinical assistant programs as well while we make some transition of staff responsibilities.
Mark D. Erickson
Information Services Coordinator
Mark came to NAACLS this past summer, replacing Clyde Cornelius, as NAACLS' Information Services Coordinator. He has an extensive computer background and coordinates all network and internet capabilities at NAACLS. He will soon assume responsibilities as coordinator for phlebotomy and histo programs.
Allen Turner
Program Coordinator, CLT/MLT, HT and HTL Programs
Allen began working for NAACLS in the spring of 1999, replacing Jennifer Zielinski when she went on maternity leave. Allen has been responsible for coordinating activity of clinical laboratory technician (AD and C) programs, as well as Histotechnology (AD and C) and Histologic Technician Programs. He will turn over the histo programs to Mark and assume responsibility for clinical assistant programs in the next few months.
Megan Hennessy Eggert
Meetings & Publicity Coordinator
Megan began working part-time for NAACLS in September 1998 after working 11 years in the office. She coordinates NAACLS' meetings and workshops in collaboration with the executive director and also puts together the newsletter and annual report. She has returned from maternity leave following the birth of her second daughter, Brynn Marie, in June. She works from her home office.
Ever Jean Frazier
Accounting Assistant
Ever Jean has been working at NAACLS for 25 years, beginning in April 1974. This past spring, in a simple ceremony, President Davidson and staff presented her with a gift in recognition of NAACLS appreciation for her service. Ever Jean continues to be a significant asset, working in the Accounting Office side by side with.
Frank Monahan
Accountant
Frank has worked on for NAACLS since 1994. He coordinates accounting activities along with payroll and tax filing responsibilities.
Jennifer Zielinski
Program Services Consultant
Jennifer was NAACLS' Senior Program Coordinator who left in the spring to start her family. She now consults for Program Services following the birth of her son, Aiden, this past April.
Maria Ponce
Staff Assistant
Maria recently joined NAACLS as our full-time Staff Assistant after working in the office for several weeks as a "temporary employee." She assists all staff with a variety of tasks.
NAACLS staff are always working to facilitate the accreditation and approval process for all programs. Please contact staff with any question or concern you may have.
