A Request for Nominations
|
Members of the NAACLS community of interest are invited to nominate qualified individuals for service on the Board of Directors, the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Programs Review Committee (CLSPRC), the Programs Approval Review Committee (PARC) and the Affiliated Programs Review Committee (APRC).
Please review the openings and qualifications needed, and then nominate another individual or yourself to serve. The Nominations Committee will evaluate all nominations against the criteria of experience, current employment and, where necessary, demographic distribution. With input from review committee members, the committee will recommend to the Board a final slate of nominations in April 2001. Elections will take place at the April Board meeting.
Forward letters of nomination with current curriculum vitae for each nominee. Send letters to the Chair of the Nominations Committee at the 8410 Bryn Mawr Avenue address to assure arrival prior to March 1, 2001. They may be also be faxed (773-714-8886), or emailed (kimball@naacls.org).

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Public Member
The public member serves as a consumer advocate, representing the public interest. The individual’s primary livelihood may not be derived from the laboratory industry.

AFFILIATED PROGRAMS REVIEW COMMITTEE (APRC)
-
Pathologists’ Assistant Educator
This individual should be a medical professional employed in a pathology laboratory, familiar with the NAACLS accreditation processes for Pathologists’ Assistant programs.

CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE PROGRAMS REVIEW COMMITTEE (CLSPRC)
-
CLS/MT Educator
Service as a CLS/MT program director, medical director or faculty member in a NAACLS accredited program is preferred. The individual should be knowledgeable of accreditation processes and have experience in management and education.

HT/HTL Educator
Service as a HT/HTL program director, medical director or faculty member in a NAACLS accredited program is preferred. The individual should be knowledgeable of accreditation processes and have experience in management and education.

Four-year Educator
Previous service as a program director or faculty member in a NAACLS accredited program is preferred. The individual should have administrative responsibilities at the department or college level.

PROGRAMS APPROVAL REVIEW COMMITTEE (PARC)

Phlebotomy Educator (2 positions)
This individual should be a certified CLS/MT, familiar with NAACLS accreditation and approval processes and experienced in management and educational methodologies.

Clinical Assistant Educator
This individual should be a certified CLS/MT, an educator in a program for clinical assistants and knowledgeable about the program approval process.
-
Member-at-Large
This individual should be a certified CLS/MT and experienced with the accreditation and approval processes of NAACLS.
