Volume 82 - Fall 2002

Transition Policy
Clinical Affiliates

In an article on page one of this issue of NAACLS News Shauna Anderson describes a new policy that will take effect on January 1, 2003. The requirement to have clinical affiliates visited will be discontinued. However, additional documentation will be required in the self-study. That information is described in Dr. Anderson's article.

Programs being visited in the spring of 2003 have the option of 1) providing that additional information prior to the scheduled visit or 2) having sites visited as usual.

It will be important for program directors to contact the NAACLS office for information on providing appropriate documentation. Further, it will be important for the program director and site visitors to clarify whether or not sites will be visited.
