Annual Report From Programs is a NAACLS Requirement

NAACLS Standards require that all programs provide specific information to NAACLS on an annual basis. This information is regularly obtained in cooperation with the Annual Survey of Health Professions Education Programs conducted by the American Medical Association (AMA). When programs see announcements about participating in that survey, they must note that it is not discretionary, but it is required of all programs in order to maintain accreditation or approval by NAACLS.

This is the second year that the survey is available via the web. Program directors who maintain an email address will be receiving from the AMA the notice to participate. Program directors without an email address known to the AMA will receive the notice by mail.

The 2003 version of the Annual Survey of Health Professions Education Programs is now available at:

http://www.ama-assn.org/go/hpsurvey

These surveys should be completed and returned to the AMA. Questions about the survey should be directed to hpsurvey@ama-assn.org or by calling Dorothy Grant at 312-464-4936 or Enza Messineo at 312-464-5333.

Because this is a requirement for all programs, NAACLS will be receiving the information directly from the AMA and will be informed of any non-participants.
