NAACLS to Implement New Volunteer Recognition Program
by Edward Rotchford Program Services Coordinator
|
Since 2000, NAACLS has had nearly 450 different volunteers devote their time
to reviewing Self-Study Reports, attending site visits and participating in one
of NAACLS' programs review committees. Therefore, in order to recognize
volunteers for their efforts, NAACLS has implemented a new Volunteer Recognition
Program as of May 2007.
A cumulative total of volunteer activities that include paper reviews and site
visits will be totaled for each volunteer beginning January 2000 through April
30, 2007. Volunteers will then be recognized based categorically on how many
volunteer activities they have participated in.
Volunteers that meet the minimum required amount of Volunteer Activities will
fall into Category 1, and will receive a Certificate of Recognition from NAACLS,
along with a NAACLS Volunteer Conference Bag. Volunteers that meet the criteria
of Category 2 will receive a Certificate of Recognition, along with a $25 Gift
Certificate. The most active volunteers will be considered in Category 3, and
will receive a Certificate of Recognition, a custom plaque noting volunteer
achievements, and will be the subject of a future NAACLS News article detailing
that person's accomplishments.
In addition, Volunteer Activities will be continually reviewed every May. If an
individual has volunteered enough times to move into a higher category, then
that individual will be properly recognized.
NAACLS is proud of the large number of people who willingly volunteer their time
and feels this is a most appropriate way of saying "Thank You!"
